Factory Direct Homes is a full service manufactured home dealer. We can provide delivery and set up and complete installation service for the manufactured home on your home site using our experienced crews. But we do not require that you use our crews to install your home.
If you prefer, we will quote you a price any way you want it. We can price the manufactured home FOB at the factory location (Oregon), and you can arrange for your own shipping and set up. Or, we can give you a very good price for delivery of the manufactured home to your site and you can arrange for your own local crew to offload and install the home. Just tell us what you prefer, and we will quote you a price that way.
Our typical customer prepares for their home to be installed by first checking on all zoning laws, securing any needed permits, and preparing the new homesite with any needed grading. We also recommend that you have local contractors build the foundation for the home as this is usually more economical for the customer. Of course, we will provide complete plans so your local contractors know exactly what is required.
Every manufactured home manufacturer is required by federal standards to provide instructions for installation. If you are buying a modular home, and you chose to install it with local contractors you will need to provide a copy of the installation procedure to your chosen contractor. The installation of your manufactured home is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty but by the person responsible for the installation itself. So, if you let us install it, everything is covered by our Good as Gold warranty, but if your contractor installs it and there are issues related to installation, then that person would be responsible for repairs.

Installation is every bit as important as buying the home itself. Improper setup can significantly reduce the life of even the best constructed home.
